Submitting maps

July 15, 2012

We’ve noticed that a lot of you are having fun creating devious maps. We’d love to see more of these, and we might even consider using them to help judging. So if you want to include them as part of your submission, we’d suggest putting them in a directory called ./maps.

When a competitor sends a map, is the map used for judging and scoring his program? If so, it would be very easy to cheat since he knows the best answer…

    • We will be careful to make sure this doesn’t skew the results. In particular, for the final round of scoring, we will not use any maps submitted by the teams in the final round.

There have been so many interesting maps created by several teams that it would be a shame not to try them out!

I shared one file for a light division (and a complete contest too) two days ago, and another file with the same name for the complete contest just now. Will this situation handled correctly? Or shoud I remove file for a light division?
